The first edition of ‘Din Jaaye Chihn Rahe’ was published in 1959. On the last page of the novel it was mentioned that another chapter of this endless story was ‘Eka Deha Ete Daha’. I could not write the next part of it until the eight editions of the incomplete ‘Dina Jae Chinha Rahe’ were completed.
Baby Chowdhury from Berlin Medical College, in a letter to her Ravensa classmate Sandhya Digal, wrote about the bitter-sweet experience of her life, which was the theme of ‘Dina Jae Chinha Rahe’.She had the idea of writing ‘Eka Deha Ete Daha’ about her beloved Sagar; But fifty years later when I wrote the next part of it, I saw that I had to start writing again from the beginning to keep pace with the second half and the first half.
Fifty years of age has not only increased the age of baby and Sagar, it has also changed the course of their lives and feelings. This full-length novel, completely rewritten, is a heartbreaking intimate depiction of the love and loss of both.
