Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary


This sanctuary is located in the district of Balasore and is blessed with a charmjng forest and a variety of wildlife such as tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, sambar, giant squirrel, a number of bird species like hill myna, peafowl, hornbills and various reptiles. Its the same forest range that the famous Panchalingeswar temple belongs from. The Kuldiha wildlife sanctury in Balasore is a great place to witness nature and some wildlife too.

The sanctuary is linked with Similipal through Sukhupada hills and Nato hill ranges. A trek from Nilgiri amidst Kuldiha forests is worth enjoying. Two rest houses|at Kuldiha and Jadaclhuan and the perennial streams are treat for the visitors.

Kuldiha is located only about 20 kms from the Balasore town and the forest is part of the Nilgiri range which is famous for indian bisons, the great malabar squirrel and even elephants.
